Ear Microsuction

Service Description

For those that cannot get to Health Rehab Clinic, we come to you! Ear irrigation and Micro-suction services can be administered in the privacy of your own home, available on Mondays or Fridays, delivered by a registered nurse or an occupational therapist. The home call-out service is reserved for those who are house bound and cannot visit our clinic in person. We do need a clean and sterile area for the procedure at your home. Typically, a dining room area would be ideal. The patient would be required to sit up and hold their head still and steady as the procedure is conducted. The procedure involves placing a silicone probe into the ear for micro-suction of ear wax over a few minutes at a time. In some cases it may not be possible to offer a home call-out service due to restrictions on location or a safe working environment, in which case its best to come to our clinic. Procedure fees are the same for both clinic or patients home, however home call-outs are subject to an additional call-out fee based on the distance from our clinic to your home. Call-out fees are settled on the day of service, regrettably we don’t accept cash, only card based settlements.
